Chiropractic Services

Chiropractic Services

Chiropractic is a natural form of health care that uses spinal adjustments to correct misalignments and restore proper function to the nervous system, helping your body heal naturally. Chiropractic doesnt use drugs or surgery. Instead, a chiropractic spinal adjustmentthe application of a precise force to a specific part of the spinal segment--corrects the misalignment, permitting normal nerve transmission and assisting your body to recuperate on its own.

At Connected Medical Center, we offer the latest diagnostic equipment, a genuine desire to find the cause of your condition, and a patient-centered approach to solving your problem. In everything we do, we consider first the needs of our patient. We strive to offer unparalleled service. We are always considerate of your time, health, and finances and will not waste any of these.

Physical Therapy Modalities

Physical Therapy Modalities

Physical therapy is a broad term for the use of equipment to help patients recover from physical injuries. As a chiropractor (we are not physical therapists), one of the tools we choose to utilize in our practice is physiotherapy or modalities commonly referred to as physical therapy modalities. One of the most effective tools to help patients recover is the use of corrective exercises tailored to their individual needs to help build strength, endurance, coordination, and flexibility. Depending on your injury or pain source, we will design a plan targeted to help your body heal. Our office includes an on-site rehabilitation where our team will work with you every step of the way.
K-Laser Therapy

K-Laser Therapy

Class IV K-Laser Therapy is a Pain-Free application delivering infrared laser light to the affected tissue. This promotes increased circulation, decreased swelling, reduction of pain, and accelerated healing and tissue repair. Laser Therapy, or photobiomodulation," uses specific wavelengths of light (red and near-infrared) to create therapeutic effects. These effects include improved healing time, pain reduction, increased circulation and decreased swelling. Laser Therapy has been widely utilized in Europe by physical therapists, nurses and doctors as far back as the 1970s. Now, after FDA clearance in 2002, Laser Therapy is being used extensively in the United States.

Conditions Treated with K-Laser

High power laser therapy can stimulate all cell types, including soft tissue, ligaments, cartilage, and nerves. Some conditions that have been shown to respond well to K-Laser include:
  • Peripheral Neuropathy, Fibromyalgia
  • Back and Neck Pain
  • Sciatic Pain Arthritis pain, Degenerative Discs/Joints
  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
  • Knee Problems Tendinitis, Trigger Fingers

Many patients report pain relief in as little as one treatment, and most are able to resume normal daily activities with no pain and restricted movement after their therapy is completed. Treatments are administered by a technician, using a hand-held device the size of a flashlight. The laser is placed directly over the injured area for anywhere from 30 seconds to 9 minutes, depending on the size of the area being treated and the treatment plan. Most patients report a warm, relaxing sensation. They generally experience no side effects or recovery period. The goal is healing, not merely symptom relief! For too long, medicine has focused on symptom relief rather than true healing. K-Laser offers an alternative, and its a welcome change for athletes as well as patients interested in natural remedies.

Whiplash

Whiplash is one of the most common auto injuries, and results when the ligaments, muscles, and soft tissues that support your head are jerked rapidly back and forth. This can stretch, tear, or inflame them, and symptoms don't always show up immediately--sometimes they can even take weeks. Call Connected Medical if you're experiencing any of the following:

  • Dizziness
  • Vision disturbances
  • Sore throat in the absence of respiratory conditions
  • Problems with memory and concentration

Concussion

Unconsciousness isn't the only sign of a concussion. If your brain was bounced against the interior of your skull, you could be in danger of more serious damage. Call us today if you're experiencing any of the following:
